| Buffas Deli - pure Nu Yawk 2/5/04
I - a tourist from Australia - wandered the streets of New York one morning searching for a normal cafe amongst the Vegan/Indian/Asian/Hare Krishna etc. etc. where I could just simply get a normal fry-up of bacon and eggs. Then I discovered Buffas. It's been one of my favourite NY experiences (up there with a visit to CBGBs), as it has the stools at the counter, the chatty hostess/owner, the signed pictures of actors on the walls, well-wishing regulars, and a fantastic fry-up that was in front of me within 5 minutes flat, if not shorter. I recommended Buffas to other travellers and they were also very impressed with it. |
